Why wont the volume on my Cox Digital Cable remote work ?

When I press the volume it doesnt work so I have to use my old remote just for the volume. Please Help !

Most likely you just need to program the remote control for audio control. I%26#39;d tell ya%26#39; how, but it sometimes depends on which model remote COX gave you. If you ahve your user%26#39;s handbook, there should be a section on programming for volume control. However, it might also be that some of the settings on your box have been tampered with. Try this first: using your COX digital remote, press the %26#39;Settings%26#39; button twice (it%26#39;s the gray button, NOT the yellow triangle!), until %26#39;General settings%26#39; appears on your TV screen. On the left you have a column of %26#39;prefernces%26#39;. Scroll through until you get to "Audio: Range" and make sure %26#39;Narrow%26#39; is selected, and then find "Audio: Volume Control" and make sure "Narrow" is selected. Those are the general default settings for optimal performance. Then go back %26 check your volume, and program if needed. Did you set the code for your remote?? It%26#39;s broke.
