Which Microphone should I use with a Sharp Minidisc recorder?

Model number: MD-MT15.

Please help!

Answer:

Depends on what you want to do with it. I%26#39;m assuming it has a mic input? What type of jack? Is it balanced or unbalanced?Your instruction sheet should tell you. If it has a mic input, you can use whatever you want. Cardioid is directional, omni isn%26#39;t. A dynamic type can be a bit more "warm" in sound, a condenser wider in range and brighter. Like I said, it all depends on how you are going to use it and how much you%26#39;re willing to spend. Check out a Radio Shack store. Bring the machine with you along with a disc and try different mics before you buy. No problem. They%26#39;ll let you. If it doesn%26#39;t have a mic input, you%26#39;ll have to get external pre-amps or a mixer board and feed the output of that into the line inputs of the recorder.
