Which one is better??

set top box or dth? in dth- tata sky or dish tv? how much it will cost to install n per month?

i hv used both and i believe DTH is better...

reasons are:

1. STB is slower in responding to remote

2. my STB box often hangs and i have to "reboot" it very often

3. i still hv to deal with the cable operator fellow

4. service is not great... not to say DTH service is better.. but these guys are worse

between Tata Sky and Dish.. i think dish is better since they have a postpaid billing

for tatasky you have to buy those vouchers... so its like a prepaid mobile... the problems i hv faced is

1. vouchers not available freely

2. dealers dont stock vouchers of all values

3. sometimes tata sky comes out with deals on the vouchers but dealers dont konw about it

4. the "recharging" of your tatasky a/c with a voucher can take upto 1 day before you can watch tv... yes... it has happened to me... $20-$30 per mopnth but its totally worth it! dth

cost 300/month dish tv is better wen u care about it would cost approx. 2500rs for installation and 1yr rent free on other hand tata sky has more options installation is same but billing would be confusing look out. hi mitts i will recommend u to Tata sky for instalation it will cost only Rs 5000 %26 that u have to Rs 200 per month...
