Which is the best outside scanner antenna ?

The most popular seems to be the Discone antenna. The DS150S and the DCL. This depends on your needs. A Discone antenna offers the best all-frequency performance with omni-directional (any direction) reception. A log-periodic offers the best gain but is directional (receives best in a certain direction). Often, the discone mounted on your roof or other high point will do fine.
