Why do dvds cost so much?

Why do dvd%26#39;s cost so much?

Answer:

Because they can. As long as consumers are willing to pay the high prices there is no reason for distributors to lower their price. good question

maybe cause the movie studios are money grubbing, blood sucking leeches. becuase dvds and cds are a new technology, when they get old, they will be like video tapes and cassette tapes. you can find them for 2-5 dollars. Simple, the dvd making process to getting to us the price keeps getting raised.

It takes about $3 for the company to make the dvd

The $1-$2 for the case

1$ for the little paper inside the dvd

the sell it to the stores for $10-$15

for the stores to make a $5 profit the sell for $15-$20
