Why do you press harder on the buttons of a remote control when you know the batteries are dead?

Answer:

Dunno, Skycat, ------------I guess it%26#39;s a "Man" thing! Lol were you watching me? becuase you are p*ss*d of with it Just making sure it is completely dead to sqeeze every last ounce of juice out of the blighter lol, good question, just one of those daft things we all do! i don%26#39;t press,i replace batteries every 6 month. dont know, probably for the same reason that you take the cover off and roll the batteries round to squeeze out that last bit of life instead of just replacing them! to teach the remote who%26#39;s boss bc you don%26#39;t want to look for the stupid fresh batteries you are not sure where you put them, and the fact that your show is starting soon and maybe you can get one more click out of the damn thing Boring answer - Because you are not sure that the switch you are pressing is making a good enough contact.

And to squeeze every last ounce of life out of the thing.

It always happens when you want to start recording something.
