Will a cable descrambler work on satellite tv like sky didital? If not is there another method availa

Answer:

most definitely not, unlike cable the signal is received and is only activated via the card to allow the box to show the channel.it is not a scrambled signal it is simply the card doesnt tell the box to allow it.there are people who advertise on the net that they have sky cards that give all channels, dont waste your money mate they simply do not work, your card is specific to your box, unlike the old sky analogue you cannot even borrow a neighbours card to watch the footy it will only work in the box is it activated to do so..there are also claims that you can alter things to watch movies for free, thats also rubbish as it only allows you to use up preset credit and then when your software updates it sends the details back to sky and they bill you for it.the only important thing in all this and a point well worth remembering is its illegal anyway and not worth the hassle.
