I just purchased a tv tuner. The tv portion works perfectly, but I just hooked up my PS2 through the s video and the video is wonderful, but I have no sound. I read that S-video is only video that you need the red and white cables. I have those cables but no where to input them to the tv tuner... The tv tuner I purchased is from compusa and it has the s video input, a green sound output and then a blue sound in put, but the red and white cables don%26#39;t fit into the blue. Please help!!
Answer:
The green and blue audio connectors audio in and out. This is a 3.5mm audio connector, The red/white cables are RCA connectors. You can buy an adaptor at Radio Shack or any computer store. You can try something like I have set up on my desk.
I use my computer, dvd player, cable box and PS2 all on one 21-inch monitor with no speakers.
The way I get audio is to run the red and white cables through the auxiliary inputs on a desktop stereo system. Everything sounds great.
If your monitor has speakers you can usually just plug the audio cables to the back of the monitor. because s-video only brings in video nnot audio. you need to find the red and white rca ports on the back of the device you have the s-video on and run them from one device to the other to bring in audio.
