Why does my dvd play in black and white?

I%26#39;ve recently bought a new tv - I%26#39;ve plugged my old dvd player into it and ever since then all the dvds play in black and white. I%26#39;ve tried using a different scart cable incase it was faulty but the same thing happens. Any ideas?

Answer:

the output of dvd is set to ntsc and not pal your old tv could handle it your new one cant maybe you%26#39;re stuck in the movie plesantville My dvd player only plays copied dvds in black and white.

I am naughty push in the red wire at the back same thing is happening to me...

it has something to do with the fact that it%26#39;s digital or not

try a different type of cable...

I had to use a screw on type of coaxial. get some decent porn copies! check the on screen settings of your scart inputs.

the one your DVD is connected to is most likely set to the wrong %26#39;input settings%26#39;.

(might be set to RGB etc.)

have a good read of the instruction book, it should tell you in the fault-finder section.
