Asda have sold me an alarm clock that snoozes for 2 MINUTES!! what is the point of that then?? hardly an extra %26#39;snooze%26#39; is it?? think yourself lucky cos you get 7 minutes more than me in bed every day :( Good frikken question.
I had a phone you could change it, but my new one is nine minutes. I dont get it?? you snooz for nine min. then you have one minute to wake up. A grand total of ten min. mine must be faulty it snoozes for only 5 minutes must go and get a new one It%26#39;s something like (If I remember correctly!) when mechanical alarms were fitted with the snooze feature the internal gears/workings set the alarm off again after 9 minutes as this was the only way it could be done, since then it has become a tradition sort of thing. There%26#39;s no reason why a digital alarm clock cannot be set to snooze for whatever time, it would only be a case of something simple like changing the value of a capacitor or resistor, so I guess the 9 minutes is a watchmakers thing. There are 12 numbers on the clock, if you take the hrs in a day (24) and them together = 36, divide that by the average number of feet on a bed (4) then you get your 9 minutes... pretty obvious I thought..!! Don%26#39;t know why as mine only snoozes for 8 mins and my cell phone for 15.
