Where can you take old batteries to be disposed of in UK?

Answer:

They have a battery bin at all Council Waste Depositories. You can also take Car Batteries to be Recycled. However if you go to a reputable company such as Kwik Fit or Charlie Browns , they will swap the battery for you and dispose of the old one. SCRAP YARD , RECYCLE CENTRE Sainsbury%26#39;s do envelopes that you can put batteries in, then freepost to the recycling centre. Not car batteries, of course, that would be silly. If you don%26#39;t have a Recycle Center in your location, call to the Fire Station of your city and ask them. They will help you. Be aware of old Lithium batteries. They are the must dangerous. you can take your old batteries to any council tip, or leave them in a plastic bag in your recycling box and they should take them away for you..
