Why cant I play my burned DVDs in a normal DVD player ?

I just came back from Bali and downloaded my DV cam tapes and edited, added music and narration to make a small movie of my holidays. I used Windows Movie Maker to do the above and then stored it in %26#39;My Video%26#39; folder. I then burned it using Sonic to a DVD-RW. Everything seemed to work perfectly so far ! I then put the burned DVD into my normal DVD player to view it on TV but, NOTHING ! I am guessing that I need some other software for the conversion. Can anyone help ??!

Thank you for whatever info that will help.

Regards,

Steve

Answer:

DVD is mpeg-2 format, maybe you can try other converter like AVS Video Tools, it can help you convert video to DVD and burn to DVDs, I always use it to create home DVD, so easy to use and works great for me
