On my copy of windows xp 64, if I give "cucusoft avi to dvd maker" an avi containing a 1.5 hour movie it will spit out a dvd I can play in my dvd player WITHIN THE HOUR!

This is for a very small Mp3 player called a MP3 Rave made by Go Video. The service code for GMRS is "ZA" I think it asks for that. You are NOT exempt from regulatory fees.

After that, you will need to pay the fees. If you pay via credut card, you can do so online. Otherwise you%26#39;ll have to download and fill out the payment form, and then mail it.

Your license will not be granted until the payment is completed.

Plus, check the temperature variation AND if you get stable and steady supply of electricity at a good voltage level. My experience was bad - the A/C would pull down the voltage so the stabilizer would tip off at 190V. 3 minutes later, the voltage would be up again, so the stabilizer would restart the A/C -- which would pull down the voltage to below 190 again. What a mess! Plus, since the room was now sealed, ventilation got poor also. I think L.G is the better. After sale service all are the same during summer months. Anyway I have a Garmin Etrex Legend (B%26W model) for my personal use. It was about $200 3 years ago. I am Team Leader of a local Search %26 Rescue unit which uses nothing but Garmin GPS (and a compass of course) when in the field. We use them mainly for their ease of use, battery time (about 24 hrs.on 2 AA), speed of satellite lock on (the time it takes to figure out where you are, ussually under 30 seconds most of the time around 12 seconds), and there size. Easy to carry around.

Anyway, hope this helps. :) It depends on what you are using it for? i l%26#92;really like my garmin. But it depends on the use. Mine is for geocaching and locating hunting spots stuff liek that. I dont use mine to travel or locate things that way. The smaller garmin units are affordable but you can go to a trimble unit and it willhave many more options and some run off of a palm pilot. Those tips are also pure copper, but do burn out. You will have better luck with the plated versions of these as well.

It depends on how long your power cuts happen and for the time length they happen for. If the are short, like 1 or 2 hours once a day or a couple days. if so us you look at getting an UPS(Uninterruptible power supply). If your power is drop for a more then 4 hours a time then you look at the Generator.

But for most people will just need an UPS. An Ups will give u more then the time u need to save any info you need. Generators willl cost a lot more and not as good for just a computer as an UPS will be.

No matter what u use. you need to make sure your router/modem for your intenet is also on the UPS. If it isnt%26#39; then when your power drops then so will your net.

There are a lot of different UPS out there for 250watts to 5000watts make sure u get one for the time lenght and watts needed. inverter is better Honda generators have inverters in them...

I have Dish Network and just about every third commercial these days is advertising a "male enhancement" product of some kind. It is obvious that these commercials are being broadcast over the regular commercials because often I see the last half second of the commercial that was supposed to be broadcast. Is this something Dish Network is doing? Don%26#39;t the channels that are selling the original commercial time object? How can I get this to stop? I am really getting tired of seeing these things.

I would complain to Dish network if you would like them to stop. I just have to agree with the previous answer-- Dish Network indeed is the one inserting the commercials. If you find the commercial offensive, you can complain about it on their customer service department. LCD TV%26#39;s are by far a better tv the plasma! For a couple of reasons:

1) LCD is cheaper to own and buy

2) Plasma%26#39;s will burn out in about 4 to 5 years, so you would have to recharge them, witch can be very costley 9 big buck!

3) There are no coax connections on a plasma, so one would end having to by an RF Modulator!

4) There not as heavy as a plasma!

5) and the LCD Tv%26#39;s you can touch the screen with your finger, If you touched a Plasma screen with your finger, the oils would run the screen!

6) and the plasmas require a special cleaner when trying to wash the screen! The cleaner also comes with a warning label that it can eritate ones skin! The LCD TV%26#39;s can be wshed with glass cleaner, just don%26#39;t spray it directly on to the TV lol!! Personally, I like plasma better because it seems brighter. LCD runs a little less costly. Plasma is cheaper and has a wider viewing angle then most lcd%26#39;s but they can overheat and get burn-ins. Although LCD%26#39;s have smaller viewing angles, are more expensive and can%26#39;t display deep black, I like them better because of crisper images, no risk of burn-ins and because they can be brighter than plasmas. LCD%26#39;s are rapidly catching up to plasma in its shortcomings so some better brands don%26#39;t have the problems mentioned above. LCD cause you don%26#39;t have to put a hole through your wall! LCD T.V%26#39;S are more costly and if you visit a store these are the ones the sales agents will push. We are fortunate to have LCD and plasma and we as a family much prefer the plasma t.v. If they advertised that they were certified (but you didn%26#39;t put it in the PO), they should send copies of the certs. If they won%26#39;t, reject the products as unsafe and offer to turn them over to the authorities for selling unsafe equipment in NZ. Why does it take longer and longer for my DVD player to load a disc?

I place the disc in the tray and it either immediately says "no disc" or it goes on and on loading. Eventually it will finally load. Is there soimething I can clean inside the player to make it read the disc.? It keeps getting slower . I have cleaned the discs.

Change your DVD drive it worked a lot for you, now you need to change it because your DVD drive lense become weak and cant read each DVD%26#39;s The optical pickup lens may be dirty. Try a cleaning disc. If this does not help, the optic pickup is probably at the end of it%26#39;s life. Most DVD players last 1-2 years with frequent use. In this case cleaning is not a solution. Your lens becomes weaker and soon it will be shutdown. Most cheap AM radios are junk with terrible selectivity, making all the stations "run-together".

A quality AM radio with tuned RF circuits such as the GE SUPERADIO III:

But the main problem with AM is the nature of it. AM is Amplitude Modulation, so you are bound to get most signals from the correct radio stations that you choose, however any static at night is unavoidable. Solar interference, and other sources are your problem. put some tin foil on it and move it all around unitl i get a good signal there;s usually more static during the day. you can get more am stations at night. its a fact.

CD player is a much better "reading" tool of the media than the playback head of a tape player as well cassettes tapes record analog signal on a tape.

The tape suffers from various problems:

The tape can be slightly elastic, and the drive speed is not perfect so the speed at which the music is recorded and that at which it is played can vary a little.

because the tape recording is magnetic and it%26#39;s spooled, there can be a effect of copy from one piece of tape to the next that is spooled close to it.this is more noticeable in the silences, if you have left your tape to the sun.

if the recording signal is too strong, the signal is more than the tape can record and it sould saturated.

There are probably other effects like separation between left and right, etc.

A CD is recorded digitally as data on a disc.

The data is time coded is 1/75 of a second if i remember right, so you the speed at which it%26#39;s recorded and played is much more stable.

also it will sound better because if there is a damage to the cd the player has a mechanism to replace the missing data with spare data or with faked data : there is a little bit of redundancy so if some data is missing you can reconstitute it and if not you create it from what%26#39;s before and after and the listener will never know it.

Because the recording is digital it%26#39;s more precise for very detailed sounds.

However some people do believe that analog signal is better (digital signal means you have only have a finite number of values to represent a voltage whilst analog is not limited in that fashion)

Some people think CD is not good enough and Super Audio CD which is similar to a DVD with only music.

Why do cds that i burn cannot play in some cd players??

I have used other burned cd%26#39;s in my car, but cd%26#39;s i have made on my new computer are not playing. I am finalizing the cd%26#39;s and I think everything is working ok, I can see cd%26#39;s on other computers...

it%26#39;s the cd player being too antiquated to handle the format. it could also be the type of disc you use and the player capability (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, etc) they keep changing the format.

old CD players cannot read the new burn format.

i don%26#39;t think, however, that%26#39;s an excuse to trade in your car. There may be some microscopic gap that you ignored: like I ignored to understand about logical volume group before dealing with it.

We recently left DIsh. Nothing they do is fair. The customer service is a joke. We wanted to upgrade to HD programming and we were told it would cost over $300.00! If we were new customers it would have been half of that. Then they tried to tell us that we had a two yr contract when we had NO contract with them. They try to make you pay the five buck per month protection plan fee in order to avoid paying when something breaks. Ask to talk to a customer service manager. Also read the fine print on whatever paper work you have from the install. In our case the paper work said the opposite of what the phone reps were telling us. And technically they have to warn you when you call for a service call that there may be a fee, you could use that as leverage against them. Good luck. I kn. my landlord was re-doing the roof and messed mine up--and i did not take out any ins. coverage--but the landlord%26#39;s girlfriend who lives in the building did----cannot get some chanels I am paying for-what would u do?
