The best brand of air conditioner is the Carrier Infiniti System.
This system accompanied with the Carrier Infiniti furnace and Infiniti thermostat has a 17 SEER rating. ( that%26#39;s an effeciency rating) It is dual speed and can save you quite a bit of money over time. With the thermostat, you can control fan speed, times to run a/c, and furnace,humidity levels in the home and fan operation. You can program this to run the a/c and furnace and keep your home at a constant temperature without having tio touch thermostat after you programmed it. Word of advice: the Carrier Infiniti a/c will only work this way if accompanied with the Infiniti furnace.You will not get the effeciency that is has the capabablity of providing if not matched up with the furnace and t-stat.This system also comes with an sensor that can give you outside temperatures. If you do not want to replace the furnace, the Comfortmaker/Heil brand is a very good product. depending on the tonage, it%26#39;s the C2A6 Model which is a 16 SEER. Questions to ask dealer: What size do I need? Will a load calculation be done to determine size? What is the SEER rating? Is it R-22 or R-410A refrigerant?( R-410 is environmentally friendly) What is the warranty? Do you have an extended warranty program? What if I need service? Will the work be done by sub-contractors? Are they licensed?Will a thorough check of existing equipment be done before the installation? For example, is furnace equipped to handle an a/c system?Do I need a new t-stat? ( you should replace t-stat also with a new system) Do I have a strong enough blower on the furnace to properly cool my home? How is my ductwork? I have noted that Hitachi is very popular on the net but what about it%26#39;s service. Voltas, Carrier and Blue Star are much popular locally!
You must examine the cooling efficiency AND the rating of the A/C; plus you must check your own needs to see if you need a window or split A/C. For small rooms, there are excellent Chinese made A/Cs. Plus, check the temperature variation AND if you get stable and steady supply of electricity at a good voltage level. My experience was bad - the A/C would pull down the voltage so the stabilizer would tip off at 190V. 3 minutes later, the voltage would be up again, so the stabilizer would restart the A/C -- which would pull down the voltage to below 190 again. What a mess! Plus, since the room was now sealed, ventilation got poor also. I think L.G is the better. After sale service all are the same during summer months. Late responces IN MY HOUSE THEY ARE ALL ELECTROLUX BUT MY FRIEND JUST BOUGHT AN ONIDA AC, IT%26#39;S DAMN POWERFUL AND VIDEOCON e.on IS ALSO A GOOD IDEA Lg and haier are the best avaiable.Go 4 them Blue star and LG air conditioners are best brands because of their quality and after sales service. i have a panasonic e-ion AC installed in my hallroom(18X20 foot).its cooling power is amazing and the after sales services r almost the same-slow responses . LG or Napoleon. Samsung is good,in service wise also ONIDA

I heard Tom Tom was the best, but what about other brands? can anyone tell me of their experiences with other brands, whether it was on your mobile phone or in the car?

Mine has CoPilot pre-installed and it%26#39;s not too bad. there is no other better brands/software. Tom Tom 5 is best and works with most Symbian based platform phones. with others you most likely to call the AA cos you got lost

for $600 or less,max screen size
Even some Magellan ones I saw were under $600, like $475 -$ 564. But I could not find any with the voice guidance built in, but I did find TomTom Navigator software for GPS with voice %26 visual guidance as part of it . Here is the link. This one was a hardie !
